Meet owner and artist, Madeleine Greeson

Meet owner and artist, Madeleine Greeson

Where it all started…

Madeleine Greeson is a local artist living and working in Crested Butte, CO. She began her artistic journey 15 years ago when she first moved to the valley, intrigued by Gunnison County’s beautiful landscapes, deep snow, and unique mountains. Through her love of nature and the outdoors, she grew her passion for color, multi-medium art, and found a much sought-after connection to her community.

"I’ve been absolutely terrified every moment of my life and I’ve never let it keep me from a single thing that I wanted to do."

Community Found…

Madeleine finds much of the inspiration for her art from her local peers, friends, and artists alike and enjoys teaching art classes, connecting with other small business owners, and intertwining her love of community with her need for expression.

A Nerd Turned Creative…

Interested in gemstones, fossils, and specimens at a young age, she fell in love with Colorado's unique rock formations, prehistoric quartz river beds, and the surrounding area’s geological history. She used this pallet to create her unique and brightly colored designs, illustrations, and printed goods.

A Mountain Home…

Madeleine creates most of her work in her tiny, one-room studio inside of her mountain home she shares with her partner and fellow artist, Anthony Todd Wilson. Together, they travel the world in search of inspiration for both their businesses and personal artistic journeys. In their spare time they enjoy hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and searching the United States for the best craft beers.
